Institutional Interest in Digital Assets is Committed and Scaling
Introduction
TabbFORUM Interview
In a recent episode of the Market Structure Wave video series by TabbFORUM, Hillary Conley, Head of Business Development for the Americas at Talos, joined Bruce Morris of Tabb to discuss the evolution of institutional engagement in digital assets. Hillary, who spoke at the Women in Digital Assets Forum hosted by TabbFORUM, emphasized that institutional interest has shifted decisively from being merely exploratory to firmly committed and rapidly scaling.
Institutional Adoption Accelerates
Reflecting on her journey since leaving traditional finance to join the digital assets space in 2017, Hillary noted significant changes: major asset managers and bulge bracket banks are now establishing dedicated digital asset teams and trading desks. These institutions expect robust infrastructure comparable to traditional financial markets, including advanced compliance tools, comprehensive risk management, and deep liquidity connectivity.
Bridging TradFi and Digital Assets
Talos meets these expectations by providing institutional-grade technology that bridges the gap between traditional finance standards and the evolving demands of the digital assets ecosystem. Hillary highlighted Talos's end-to-end offering, including an execution and order management system (OEMS), a portfolio management systm (PMS), extensive market connectivity, and post-trade solutions such as treasury and settlement, and risk reporting.
Preparing for the Future
Looking forward, Hillary underscored Talos's proactive stance in preparing for a future where digitalization spans across asset classes. Rather than predicting exactly how this future will unfold, Talos is committed to developing adaptable infrastructure that enables institutions to operate in an evolving financial landscape.
