The approval of spot bitcoin and ether ETFs in the US settled one question and immediately raised another. Single-asset crypto ETFs are operationally demanding enough, but as the market evolves toward actively managed, multi-token funds, the execution challenges embedded in the creation and redemption workflow become substantially more complex. For ETF issuers and the authorized participants (APs) who service them, that complexity deserves closer attention.
RFQ is a well-established mode of trading in traditional capital markets where it has provided the necessary balance between competitive pricing and institutional discretion for decades. As digital asset markets continue their march towards institutionalization, the adoption of RFQ workflows has become essential. With the launch of its RFQ Platform, Talos is broadening the institutional model for sourcing liquidity and managing digital asset execution. The Talos RFQ Platform replaces fragmented OTC trading with centralized, standardized RFQ workflows for efficient block trading of digital assets in both spot and derivatives markets, or as part of larger workflows such as ETF create/redeem transactions.
